Save a Xmas Tree
« on: January 13, 2013, 02:15:06 PM »
Hi,

Is it possible to save a Xmas tree someone has dumped in our communal bin? I have a patio so will be potting it first ( we do have a communal garden but I think it is concrete under the grass), the tree doesn't have a root ball but I believe it can be saved if nurtured well.

Can anyone offer me help or advise please? I really don't want it to be sent to landfill, I don't want to give up on it as I'm also going to try and get green fingered this year.

Thanks
Amrit

If it hasn't got any roots, it can't be saved. Sorry. It's just way too old to be putting out new roots where sawed off, only year-old twigs can sprout new roots (if you're lucky).
