Durham?

Anybody doing some guerilla gardening in Durham? We've got lots of empty lots in my neighborhood that could use some beautification. I'd be interested in hearing of any other Durhamites that have done some guerilla gardening and their experiences.

I guess not. We'll I'll have to fix that!

I'm promoting the International Sunflower Guerilla Gardening Day in my neighborhood, and also through a new Bull City Gardening group that just formed. I've got my eye on some abandoned lots that would be greatly improved with some sunflowers.

I'm not sure, I've been there just once as a tourist. By the way the city centre feels like a bijou version of Oxford but less busy and with fewer tourists. It also has a warmer micro climate than its surrounding areas. Being down by the river on a warm sunny day is very pleasant indeed.
