The day started with the usual grey skies overhead but quickly changed to glorious sunshine. 8 of us started out on our first guerrilla gardening adventure. Where shall we go? What will we need? With these questions answered we set off with our tools, plants and seeds and headed to a wee park we knew not so far away from our meeting point. The park was just at the end of Lemon Street(?) just behind Matalans.
The first thing we did was clean up all the rubbish, paper, cans and dog poop etc. We found a quiet corner and set to work digging, cleaning and planting. We planted fox gloves, fever few, borage, ladies mantle, sweet peas, nastursisms and monbresias(please excuse the spelling!)
Anyway, we loved it and lets hope they all grow to their full potential. We will give them a weekly check and would appreciate any fellow guerrilla's helping us out by checking on our new bit of life and colour in one of Aberdeens dismal parks.
