Right,

last year, myself an 'My Lovely Assistant' attempted to transplant a buddelia from my garden to outside.  Unfortunately the weed whackers were along a week or two later with poison and killed everything.

So, new year, new attempt. No 'Lovely Assistant' this time.

First the plant.


then put it in the ground...




and cut it back a bit to let it settle into the ground...



This year I waited till I had seen evidence of the weed whackers and their toxic poison, (see posts about teasel) before I made my move.
With a bit of luck, the wet summer will help.

I meant to post these photos at the same time as the Belfast and Leeds ones. I forgot. I did this several weeks ago.

There has been a melted wheelie bin lying on the grass here for a few years. Noone has taken responsibility for digging it up and seeding the ground, so, yours truly felt obliged to take the task in hand and just do it.

Here I am, at the side of the house with my tools and raw materials. Potting compost, grass seed, rake and some tool for prising the heavy plastic up off the ground...


Then, into position and start lifting the melted plastic.


and the final result, grass seed thrown down, raked in and compressed with feet....thus....


I'll come back in the new year and see if it has grown.

Okay, 100 views later...

I passed  by the other week and yessiree bob, we have some progress, despite the inclement weather.



so, I'm optimistic for future of this  location....fingers crossed...

I hope the leprachans at the end of the rainbow can sprinkle some magic grow dust on the grass and buddleia...
