Hello gardeners!
« on: February 13, 2008, 04:29:02 PM »
I live in Albany, NY, but work in Boston several days a week.

Anyone in the upstate area involved in guerilla gardening? I have done some in Boston over the years, but have not started yet in Albany, other than some liberation of overcrowded perennials...but I plan to plant many seeds this spring.

I entered the "front yard planting contest" being sponsored by the Women's Club of Albany gardening division; they gave away 50  free tulip bulbs to people living in the city who wanted to help revive the contest (an outgrowth of their annual Tulipfest I guess).

Albany makes a good effort at beautifying the city with flowers and landscaping but some of the urban neighborhoods need some cheering up and I hope to add a bit of color and beauty and perfume...Maybe someday try to organize a community gardening area.

Anyway I look forward to being part of this community!

I stay in Albany, NY. I will like to help in every way to save nature by planting.
there are a lot of ways to do gardening with the support of owners.

I take permissions & sow Fruit plants at:-
1) homeless shelter
2) Temples
3) Churches.
My intention is not only to beautify the place but also to get food for the needy.
