What a fantastic city. (apart from the y and z being transposed on a keyboard!) LOTS and LOTS of opportunities.

My first action is already planned. Luckily there is a flower shop beside the hostel, so it will be a 'Lisbon' job. i.e. outside the hostel, looking back. Just in a narrow street.

Photos to follow when I get home....

Home, just.  I missed my flight. Story to follow.

Anyway, I just rolled off the flight, bus, metro and got to the hostel. Dropped off my bag and made my way to Godor Klub where I met up with my cycling buddies from around Europe!

I just got in the door when I was greeted by Marcin from Poland "ah, we were just talking about you. Come and look...."

Someone has planted an onion.  Without permission!"

And here it was!!! In the courtyard of the klub.

So, that was a good start. I felt welcome and at home.  By the way, it's a fantastic city for guerrilla gardening. It should be ground zero. There are SO many tree pits and flower boxes, just DYING for a bit of attention. I think I may come back for 24 hours next spring with as much  as my baggage allowance can permit, of seed bombs!!! And go mad!!!

I know the word for flower now, at least.  Virag. Also the name of one of the hosts!

Anyway, back on track. There are several kiosk type of flower sellers but I spotted a flowershop 'proper'.

and I picked these, as they had been lying in a tub of water....

750HUF, about ?2.25

The window view of the location...(behind the white van. I had a room on the side street.)

I went down for a recced later that evening. And I must say, it was SO busy. There are a load of bars behind the location. It was flooded with people. The tree pit was a bit flattened, now I understood why...

See?

But I stuck it in there behind the privet (lonicera!) and the water pipe.  Andrea of the local cyclist federation said she'd water if for me, so that's a bonus. All hail Andrea!!!!

So, with the white van man gone and the plant in situ. It's down there somewhere.
