yeah,well,  having no children of my own, (to my knowledge) Christmas morning is kind of quiet.  Better use of one's time is to go planting, innit?

Here, for example...


with my leftover daffodil bulbs, about 30 of them. . .


you'll have to wait till the spring for the results....

Well, I don't go by here as much as I thought because last year I missed out on the flowering completely. (although that was partly because some of the flowers were stolen)

But I passed by the other day and took a couple of photos.


And they are already being stolen. See the right foreground, broken stem!!! Angry

There's another bunch of them beside the tree here....

So, after much deliberation and tens of millions of wasted euro, they are building a new children's hospital.  Item #1 on the agenda; kill/cut down six trees and remove space from pedestrians.



Luckily last year I was able to rescue and relocate several daffs. I got a nice surprise today. #canal+
