I know it's very short notice, but there's a mass daffodil planting tomorrow at 11am at Cloughjordan eco village.
I'm here on an overnight stay, checking the facilities, garden /allotments, passive housing, etc etc. I brought some bulbs with me but there is an organised mass planting taking place I will join.

So, come on down, up or across. Meet under the big tree beyond the plaza...
Right here..

With Penny's direction, (thanks for the squeeze of Arnica, btw)
we decided to add a bit of topsoil to give us a bit of depth to bury the bulbs in, twice their height...

Several wheel barrows full later, many hands making light work, we started on the bulb insertion, ooer missus.

A random scattering of bulbs...

the main man himself, William!  And Penny's pegs! ahem.

All in. Just awaiting photos in the Springtime!!

Anyway, all good things had to come to an end. (weekends in the country, that is!)

Keeping my powder dry, I kept my own bulbs for another sneak attack. At the "Failte go Cloch Shiurdain" sign.  Just at the edge there...

and, five minutes down the road, at the Staisiun,

I buried the rest in a bed, by the wall.  Here...

(recognise the onion bag and the Dansk Railway company plastic bag?)

And, if you're ever visiting Cloughjordan by train and there's an emergency evacuation, in the Spring. you can admire my daffs, behind the Rendezvous sign, thus...
