I've started off a little Guerilla Garden near the John Pound Centre in Old Portsmouth.
Along with a vegetable garden a metre away!

I found a load of garlic bulbs that had sprouted at the back of the fridge!! So they just went straight into the soil!
Nothing coming out of the soil yet but I expect it won't be long!

A few plants have been stolen but they have been mysteriously replaced..... Hmmm... Thanks to any people who might have replaced the stolen plants!
I've spoken to many members of the community who are really enjoying the plants and are on the look out for plant-thieves!!

I planted a pumpkin plant too! Fingers crossed it survives!

Hello all! Sorry for being quiet for a while! Been rather busy, however I have had meetings with the council regarding the Guerilla Garden I created in Portsmouth and now it is being turned into an official community garden. Currently we have about 25 members all of whom are becoming keen Guerilla gardeners. I'll try and get some pictures up later today. We also had a  journalist yesterday for a magazine who took some photos and interviewed us, so we are getting some publicity! If anyone in the area wishes to join us they are most welcome! Come to York place in Portsmouth, we do Gardening there every Wednesday and start between 1700-1800hrs.

It's a little short and I didn't cover all the areas but at least you get a general idea of the land!

I bought a load of clearance plants for 13 pounds!! Filled the car! Even if it only gives us a few weeks of colour it will have been worth it!!
We are having a group dig tomorrow afternoon at 5 pm if anyone is interested. Also got a newspaper reporter coming down to interview us!!

Tomatoes, pumpkins and garlic are growing well. Should be time to harvest the garlic soon I reckon.
