I'm in Wallingford, too, and we could definitely use some flowers around here! When/where do we start?

I live in New Britain and am definitely interested in getting started. I am not from here but in the short time I have been around I have seen plenty of blighted areas that could benefit from this concept. I may know of some others who might be interested as well.

Come Dig With Hartford?s Own Guerrilla Gardeners!

Hartford, CT ? Sunday, April 25th 2010 ? The Sherwood Forest Advocates are hosting a Hartford Dig near Colt Park. Volunteers will pick up trash along a chosen area and replace it with local wildflower ?seed bombs? and other native flora.

Guerrilla Gardening helps clean up urban areas by replacing vacant lots and trash with native plants and flowers for everyone to enjoy. Preserving the natural environment is important in the city landscape.

The Sherwood Forest Advocates are a growing group of Hartford area citizens devoted to cleaning up our local environment.

The location of the event will be provided to all interested parties. More information can be found by:
- Contacting Charles Nobilski at 860-595-6485 or sherwoodadvocate@gmail.com
