I'll be around Liverpool for the holidays and I'm planning on doing a few things around town... maybe with a christmas theme? Would be funny to just buy a day ticket though and brighten up every station along the lines ;p x

Had a great morning clearing, digging and planting and sowing seeds. Many thanks to all who turned up and contributed their time and energy, Dave, Kirsty, Jean and Rob. Will do more next Saturday morning. Lots more people have pledged plants...it's a big space to fill.  Smiley

Had another great morning at St Michael's Station. It's beginning to look good. Again thanks to Kirsty, Jean and Rob ...plus all those people who donated plants. So far it has cost us nothing!!!   Wink

The sun came out for us again!! 7 volunteers today.

Planted valerian, alkanet, hedge mustard, violets, creeping Jenny, broom, yellow archangel and stonecrop.

Recycled (spent bulbs) and planted hyacinths, snowdrops, tulips.

Trying to grow a forest (!) adding ash, laburnum and holly to our existing trees.

Lots of nice comments from the public and ... just great fun!!

Have had two more 'sessions' of weeding since last entry here... the weeds aren't too bad because of the intensity of the planting, the cold weather and the poor soil!!     Grin     Again people are making very complimentary remarks about our efforts   Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley  ....aaahh, makes it all worthwhile...   Dave, our intrepid tree planter planted Jean's Birchtree and three pine trees, brilliant!  Smiley

We've had a great Summer of lovely flowers, kept going by all the rain! Lots of rail passengers have commented on our efforts and have said how the plants cheer their day. We are planting more daffodil bulbs tomorrow (planted first lot of daffs and narcissi about a month ago).... making sure that we get next year off to a good start  Smiley
