New dig this Saturday 19 November. Roundabout at the top of Brandon Street SE17 (near Elephant and Castle), 2pm. We're removing the turf and planting it with bulbs and wildflower seeds. It's on the fringes of the old Heygate Estate but we know this patch will not be redeveloped and is on the outside of a new community garden planned for 2012 (check out http://www.mobilegardeners.org) so it'd be great to get cracking on transforming this area faster than the fancy landscape architects who aren't due to start digging anywhere round here for years! Contact richard@guerrillagardening.org for more info. Tools provided. There's a picture of the location here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150951627100430&set=o.316971051645&type=1&theater

Great dig on Saturday, thanks to all those who came. Lots of lavender, daffodils and tulips planted over 4.5 hours!
