I'm planting some tulip trees and a few primrose to the front of the car park along Old Chester Road (adjacent to the Community Centre) , 13thApril Monday evening 5.30 pm. Job done. Subsequently, if anyone is up that way, please water.

Up-date: tulip trees doing well, they have really picked up after the recent rain. So hopefully that's them established now, the first season is the most critical. Unfortunately, all the primroses got nicked within the first week. Tip, don't plant what's in flower, too pretty, too tempting. But, at least there's some nice native flowers out there brighting up someones garden, and edible flowers to boot.

Phase 2, replacement planting of dead trees, probabling with fruiting varities, and adding some diversity to the park, along the river e.g. pedulous sedge (long edible seeds), arrowhead (edible tubers) and more.
