Hi,
I am a photographer and Pittsburgh resident. I will be driving cross country, or rather round country and back, for the next (nearly) two months. I am scouting out a new place to set up shop as well as start on a new photography project and just see the country. The project, as of now untitled, looks to document the people and places taking issues of land use, sustainability, livability, and idealism into account in their daily lives. In other words, I want to photograph urban farmers, homesteaders, activists, beekeepers, and artists across the country. Or anything that strikes my interest.

Guerilla gardening strikes my interest quite a bit and I was wondering if anyone could lead me to some projects in Pittsburgh or to anyone who I could photograph - as it is guerilla gardening creative solutions can be used to hide identity.

If anyone is interested please let me know, I'd love to meet some people. I'll be in Pittsburgh Thursday and Friday and Saturday.

You can email me at magaliduzant@gmail.com

Pity I missed this. Pittsburgh Project could have had some VERY useful information for you. There are also Pittburgh beekeepers.... a few months ago one group got a grant for two new community apiaries here and one opened in Homewood - the first urban apiary in the country, I think! It's a very exciting and "green" city.

Will you be swinging back this way?
