yeah well, trees are a good thing in the right place, nice to look at as you drive by and all....

So, you need transport....voila!

then a location (or the other way round!)
Takes a bit of scouting around...

Somewhere down there'd be nice...

yeah, looks perfect...

Somewhere right....there would be good too...

lets see what happened...

Yeah, worked out perfect...on the biggest sporting day for, eh, 61 years. (in reality only 2 years since the biggest sporting day in 59 years, but who's going to quibble about facts....)

fork, bottle of water, container of soil, umbrella pole as marker...

Close up...

looks alright if I say so myself...

and...

The origin of the species...two and a half years on...

I visited on June 30th and took photos, but deleted them, thinking I'd saved them.

Here's a reshoot of one, the most difficult one to get close to...a couple of days ago. Doesn't look the healthiest...does it?

Anyway,

I saw this discarded office floor tile/mat.  And I had it in the back garden for months and months and months. Using it to wipe my feet before entering the house.

Then I fiinally got round to doing what I'd intended with it, (part of a big house and garden clean up/clear out).

Voila!

I cut a hole in it and some slits along the hole, for expansion, don't you know...!!!

and I got a large cable tie, to eh, tie it up. I was going for the 'stitches' look...

I left it very loose.
