Does anybody know of any documentaries about the New york Community Gardens? Over in the UK we're fighting a battle to save a hundred year old allotments/gardens from being concreted over for the 2012 olympic games. So it would be a massive inspiration for people to be able to see a film about the plight of the community gardens.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Take it easy

Yes... we've borrowed a couple of different documentaries on community and urban gardening from The Film Connection (a public film library) http://thefilmconnection.org/

Specific titles on community gardening:
 - City Farmers
 - A Lot in Common

Additional films on environmental and community topics that we found interesting:
 - The Park
 - The Gleaners & I
 - Livable Landscapes: By Chance or By Choice?
 - Broken Limbs
 - The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill
 - Blue Vinyl
 - Affluenza
 - Fed Up! Genetic Engineering, Industrial Agriculture and Sustainable Alternatives
