Gonna try a bit o' farming on the abandoned Microsoft land smack dab in the middle of the never-gonna-happen shopping center. Great sun, plenty of water sources, can't be seen from the road in you go behind the hills. The "official" P-Patches are on a wait-list, and are too far to walk (sans-car).
Any Eastsiders welcome to join alongside, start your own illicit patch or help me and mine, or just come glean later this summer.

Oh, also going to hit the hills with sunflowers on May 1, so even if you don't join me, be on the lookout as you drive up to the Highlands later this summer.

No fencing, so we will have to deal with inevitable losses from the wildlife (deer/rabbits/birds/neighborhood children) but that is going to be part of the fun. And it is pretty rocky, covered with moss and baby ferns, no sure about soil quality. Come on down! It'll be great! Tongue
