hello everyone, I am creating a log of all the public semi-public fruit / berry bearing trees and bushes in London.
I am trying to cover the whole city with as many entries as I can.

DO YOU KNOW FRUIT TREES IN YOUR AREA?
if so where are they and what are they?

I have found figs, apples, blackberries, chamomile (yes wild free herbs too), kiwi, strawberry trees, bitter orange etc.......

specific locations would be amazing
maybe you have planted some yourself.
If you could find them on google and pinpoint them and send me a link that would be great

x@vahakn.co.uk

I am also going to organize a orchard planting project very soon too so if you are interested come join us.
I am going to try to get funding and permission, but if not, just going to do it anyway and fund it myself

if you now anyone that would like to get involved please do let me know.

thanks a lot
look forward to your replies

There used to be a very fruitful apple tree on the left hand side of Edithna Road, SW9, London.  I've even taken a ladder to harvest a good crop of fruit.  Better check that it is still there!

I'm interested in the fruit tree project - what about logging good blackberrying sites as well?

I've come in on this thread a bit late... Did you get anywhere with your catalogue? I'm trying to do the same thing, have made a simple web app that lets people post fruit trees etc onto a google map.

Go to http://urbanforager.freeiz.com/ to have a look - this is a temporary location but the site is functional.

If you'd like an account so you can log in and add stuff you've found, drop me an email on peter.gravell@gmail.com and I'll set you up.
