Nice work! I love seeing a tree that's been freed of any restraints. How did trees ever make it with out our interference?

Well that's a relief, I thought I was the only tree destrangulator around.  ;D

I also rescue half dried worms from pavements, soak them for a while, then find a damp bit of earth to stick them into.  :-\

Such an awesome thread...  After 25 years the trees still carry the scars of their strangulation, telling the story of how you freed them...  I hope you accompany your actions with some firm letters to the offending council/s
In real life my signature looks different...  better.  Kinda scrawley jagged and loopy.

In reply to Reply 19, I saw this tree last week and came back this week to photograph it and share it with ye.

and on my return journey, a bit darker, towards dusk.

I've still yet to rescue the trees featured in Reply 23. A tout a l'heure.

after...

All these 5 or 6 trees had two nails sticking out from the support pole into the trees, don't know why. I wonder are the rubber spacers nailed to the support stake???

I went back and loosened it again, a few days later....it'll give it some room to 'ride up with (wear) growth' !!!
