Details of a guerrilla gardening group in Vancouver are here.  They are more than just guerrilla gardeners, but use the term loosely to describe a club for all sorts of talks and activities ranging from crop circles to biodiversity.

I'm just new to Vancouver so thanks for posting these details for contact here! I just wanted to post because I started a guerrilla garden down by the Renfrew Station sky train. It just got mowed on August 20th, 2009 so a bit depressing, but I should have put up a sign or something. Anyway if anyone walks by that area, some of the plants are still valiantly growing, please water them if you have extra water on you! They love a drink!

I've posted photos of before and after the terrible massacre. What is it about the number 8 that we get so many massacres at that time? It must be about the change I suppose. http://www.helladelicious.com/seeds/2009/08/mowed-greenway-guerrilla-garden/

I'm taking the train out to a buddy's place this weekend. I'll make a point of taking a brief stop at the Renfrew station to take a look. And I'll remember to bring a bottle or two of water for ya! Wink

It looks like someone came and just ripped up everything. Some people can be so inconsiderate. That's really a drag. Are you planning on continuing with it? Posting a sign that it's a community garden may or may not help. It really just depends on the attitudes of people in the area, I guess.

Every Saturday in April - Sasquatch will be seed bombing at local parks around the Lower Mainland.
Planting non invasive seeds around areas that need pollinators.
Mainly wildflowers and milkweed.  Pollinator mixes.
I encourage all to get out there and join this event - Look for Seed Bombing with Sasquatch on Facebook or Twitter.
