List of websites about guerrilla gardening
« on: November 02, 2009, 09:42:21 PM »
I'm trying to get my hand on some list of guerrillagardening websites. Couldn't really find any,... anyone has such list?

Anyway I just added the guerrillagardening.org to the http://www.plantsearcher.com url submission. Maybe they'll add it!

Any one has a list of good websites?

Thanx in advance,

G

It is my first time to hear about guerilla gardening, sounds interesting. Don?t really know what it is all about, but I love gardening.

By the way, I found some interesting sites when I google searched the keyword guerilla gardening. You might want to try it too. And just an FYI for those who are also not familiar with it: Guerilla gardening is the act of environmentalist or some activist wherein they take over an abandoned piece of land which they do not own to grow crops or plants.

At the weekend I did a trawl of Facebook for guerrilla gardening groups, as it's a pretty effective, particularly for local groups. So far I've posted lists for the UK, USA and Canada on these boards here:

UK: http://guerrillagardening.org/community/index.php?topic=3088.0
USA: http://guerrillagardening.org/community/index.php?topic=3091.0
CANADA: http://guerrillagardening.org/community/index.php?topic=3090.0

Several of the more dynamic Facebook groups are part of bigger websites and are just the Facebook expression (e.g. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2341197575). e.g. Check out SoCalGuerrillaGardening.org in California, Toronto Public Space Committee and if you speak Italian, there are quite a few there, I'll be indexing them next.
