I totally agree. Let get some more guerrillagardening events in ?rhus.

I propose to spread seed from calendula - they will be there for years to come  Smiley

When should we start? Maybe we can spot a location this week, and attack next weekend?

Hi:
I?m in Trojborg. I?ve been guerrilla gardening in little ways since October when I planted lots of wild nuts (oak and hazel) around the place. I?ve been planting bulbs in my area with varied success. I am particularly targetting patches of architects gravel (those awful little triangles of sterile gravel outside new buildings), Nobel parken and Trojborg centre. I also have planted along the Aaboulevarden but none of these thrived. I would like to hear from anyone interested in some evening projects. I am cultivating apples from seeds so as to plant apple trees but have not found any homes for them as yet (they are too young anyway.)

Ringgaden atrracted my attention because I dislike the daft fence that runs along it. I think it should be removed as it blocks free pedestrian movement!

Right... I'm in Aarhus from late tonight (Sunday 10 Oct) until early Tuesday morning, there to guerrilla garden with students for the White Week event, but we're very much spilling into the twon. I know it's short notice, but if any of you who are also up for it want to join in then get in tocuh. E-mail richard@guerrillagardening.org or text me ++44(0)7980 295 317! Very excited by this last minute invite, hope it can help trigger more action there.

That is a great idea and fine plane.
Last minute or not - lets make something happen.

Unfortunately I cant participate - I'm in Italy the whole week. I hope, someone will come.  Cool

AND I think we have to make a plan for next spring and doing something about ringgaden.......!

Have a great event ! Kiss

Had a brief but fantastic time in Aarhus, we planted a lot of willow (from the eco village at Friland), hollyhocks, tulips, crocus, lavender, anemone, viola and some beech saplings. Thanks for Kaospilots for inviting me and Hester for being so brilliant gathering materials and welcoming me to Denmark. I'll blog about it more in due course, but my impressions as an outsider were: you've got amazing soil, the one authority figure we met was pragmatically supportive, there's plenty of opportunity in the Latin Quarter, what a wonderful city. I hope what we did can be tended by those who took part and I hope this little action helps inspire more people to get guerrilla gardening in Aarhus. Here's a short film:
