Sunflower Guerrilla Day for the Southern Hemisphere?
« on: October 19, 2009, 09:30:15 PM »
Hello to everyone,

I am new to this forum and to the whole idea of guerrilla gardening (I think it's fantastic!). I am in the outer east/southeast of Melbourne (live in Endeavour Hills, work in Monbulk).

My question is: since our friends in the northern hemisphere celebrate International Sunflower Guerrilla Gardening Day on May 1st, is there anything equivalent that we can/could be doing on November 1st? (I know you are probably all busy planting sunflowers anyway, but are there any organised events?)

Maybe Melbourne Cup Day (Tuesday 3 Nov) would suit more people.

Aldona

I think it would be great to arrange an alternative GG Day for us Southern Hemisphere dwellers this year. I'm based around the SE areas, St Kilda etc but do have transport - any takers?
