Seed Bomb Research and Development Forum

This board is for sharing research and development ideas about seed bombing.

I have come across a wide variety of approaches in the last few years and felt it was time to compile them, with a few thoughts about the pros and cons of what works best and in what situation. So, to that end I've just launched a big new page at GuerrillaGardening.org profiling six different approaches from the classic clay seed ball to brand new high tech inventions. There are links there to instructions, videos and even places to buy them online.

I'm keen to hear what works and what doesn't, and perhaps why too! My guerrilla gardening approach is fairly traditional, I haven't made much use of seed bombs, but I'm sure you lot out there have some great tales to tell and advice to share. So please add to this thread below...

The new guide is here:

I live in an area that recieves very little rain, so clay bombs will not work here. Any Ideas?

If the area is very dry the it's about either:
1.  Timing your bombing to a rare occasion / season when it's wet...
2. Following up your seed bombing with some water bombing
3. Researching carefully what is native to your area and can do without much water at all
4. Seed bombing in a location that is damp... near a drain, near a business that sloshes out / sprays water, or near somewhere cultivated... etc

Or try this idea, posting here: http://guerrillagardening.org/community/index.php?topic=2950.msg8319#msg8319
