Norfth Kelvin Meadow to appear in court on 21/08/09

Karen Chung and Douglas Peacock from the North Kelvin Meadow Campaign, along with the 'North Kelvin Green Space Community Initiatve' have been summoned to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, 21/08 at 12 noon. This follows an eviction notice placed on the land, which is home to raised-bed allotments, a community fruit garden and composting facilities, on 17 July. The land has been used for community allotments since October last year when local residents got together to clean it up. Previously, it was a derelict dumping ground. GCC now wants to sell it for flats.
