Well, nobody took the opportunity to post the 100th post on  this thread, so I gave up and will do it myself!
It's been a while, so there's a bit of catching up to do.

There were 50 daffs for five euro on sale in Tesco so I bought a bundle.  There are seven spaces in the cycle park area - so seven per space and one left over. It was soft, so unusable.

And here is the dug-over soil from the front, plus one of the wild garlic I transplanted several months ago. Looks like it might take.  So long as the weedwhacking poisoners give it a chance....  :-\

All in...

Well, I don't go round the old haunts as much as I used to. Circumstances change, and all that. Mostly it's to do with not having a dog anymore. But I noticed this last week or so....and it put a temporary pep in my step...

So, then I went back in the daytime

and they're looking alright...they've yet to peak, I'd say...

looking good. So far, so good.

Coming along...
one way...

or another (I'm gonna find ya, I'm gonna  getcha getcha....)

a mixed bunch, some yellow, some white...and what looks like a wild garlic at the end...

Further up, I climbed down the embankment for the next two photos...

und...

you can see the hyacinths in the background...

And finally for now, I had decided a few years ago not to bother with these dependable old reliables...but here's a rare reverse view of the other side of the road...

ok, I think I mentioned it originally, I don't go up too far in that direction but for Reply #72 I passed up by there recently and noticed the hyacinths in situ.  Hyacinths are rapidly becoming my latest favourite flower...we'll see...

Anyway, the apartments are finished and complete. But there is some wrangling about planning or other and noone has moved in. For shame!!!

Well,
this recent photo is a puzzle. I don't know why or how but most of the crocosmia have not reappeared this year.  The ones that haven't survived were planted earlier than the ones that did. I don't know if that's why. Looks odd. Looks like they were poisoned as there is no evidence of flowers there at all, not just stunted growth.  And no holes to signify they'd been dug out.

Anyone any ideas?

Well the  flowers on the bank got butchered again this year by Waterways Ireland.  But I passed by yesterday evening looking at the sunset and took these two photos. One yellow hollyhock survived....

and a second photo to show the sky in the background....

It's been too long.  Must be time for an update, n'est pas?

After a recent hard pruning, it's recovered nicely.

From the first post, some margarites have self-seeded onto the path.

Yeah, but the good news didn't last, eh!

Very soon after, this happened.

it was poisoned away. But all these weeds were not.

you have to wonder at their logic, or competence...

I've been so busy with work and that, I didn't get round to a lot of stuff last year. In fact, these are last year's sweetpeas. hopefully they'l thrive

The one on the left looks very healthy. Poisoners come along around the middle of June. With a bit of luck, these'll last till then.

Cleared out a bit of litter from the former #primaveraverdi bulbs. Just because they've gone over, doesn't mean they can't be looked after, na?
