I've been invited to Botswana by The British Council* to participate in their Management Express event in Gaborone (28 Jan - 29 Jan). I'm here in some ways as a hybrid! I am part Guerrilla Gardener, part Communication Strategist (the day job that pays the bills). So I'll be speaking on both subjects, running a seminar of effective communications using a variety of environmental examples to illustrate the ideas and on BTV breakfast show tomorrow morning talking about why I'm here. And although some official tree planing is planned for Friday I've already begun to find some sympathetic support for guerrilla gardening in more complicated terrain, where the rewards for the local people could be even greater.
