Next Monday, on the ABC's 7.30 report, there is going to be a segment on Guerilla gardening. Someone may like to record it and perhaps convert it to a computer-readable format for the future ...

I actually saw this story, and it encouraged me to find out more about guerilla gardening.  I must admit, I'm fascinated.  I hail from Newcastle, and would love to know if there are any other Novocastrians out there who are interested in starting a group.

Also one who saw this story (well, read the transcript on the website when I missed it).

I doubt there is anyone here from my small rural town, and I doubt I would be able to make meetups in locales in far off places, but I might lurk none the less.

What small rural town are you in, Kieran? I've just moved across from Ravensthorpe, WA, pop 400, delightful place. Nearest supermarket was 189 kilometres away - given that I loathe and detest shopping, it was My Kind Of Place.

A farmer out that way allowed me to play in the corner of a bottom paddock, and there is a white sapote tree, a black mulberry, a date a couple of figs and a variety of apple and pear types courtesy of me.
