Jerry Coleby-Williams (2821) sent me news of guerrilla activity in Brisbane.  The full story is now in the Troop Digs section:

More info about Jerry's interesting stuff can be found at www.bellis.info, Brisbane city's first sustainable house & garden.

Hi Jerry

Well....., actually, until I read the article in Gardening Australia May, on my way back to Sydney from Perth last night,I didn't know that I was a gerdening guerilla. I started last April by planting bulbs on the verge at the local North Balgowlah shops.
Anyway, makes you feel good, now I am a memeber, hopefully there will be some other people in my area. there are already local people who have been stablising local bushland.

cheers

Excellent - we visted Jerry's garden a few weeks ago and I took inspiration from his patch of sweet potato on the nature strip and have done same.  So far no one has vandalised the plants nor has the postie run over it.  Fingers crossed.

you must know one thing;
sharing really gives inspiration;
i read the story; full of information;
i just started guerrilla gardening
trying what ever i knew hydroponics, earthboxes etc
BUT this practical information is ruling over all the sources!  Cool
