That all sounds really good! I am not so good at grafting - I managed to cut myself quite badly the last time I tried!  :-[

I'm looking into rootstocks and grafting too. Don't want to go planting up something I won't be able to prune properly/liable to get cut down.

I'm going in tomorrow to have a look around for any land that looks orphaned. Keeping an eye on the local garden centres, orchards and recycling centres. They sometimes put free plants and planters out and I've cleared my back garden to use as a nursery 🤘

Hi, we're near Cullompton.  Fruit trees sounds like an interesting idea. Do you have any specific places in mind in Exeter?

I'm just outside Crediton. Been talking to a few interested people about planting up fruit trees, particularly apples, in Exeter.

Hi, I'm near Cullompton but willing to travel!  We used to have a reasonably active group in  Leicester,  but I haven't been able to GG since we relocated back to Devon. Have you had any luck getting anything started?

Definitely agree on smaller plants for a smaller space. I have several different things in my home, but also consider some plants that will server other purposes (food/vegetables).

I realize this is quite an old thread! But I'm in the Frisco/McKinney area and have been reading through the forum and site the past few days.

I do a lot of gardening at home, and help out a lot of senior citizens in my area. Have been considering adding it as a business with my Dallas home remodeling company as well. Again I know it's an old thread, but I love what I've seen here and would love to help around the DFW community more. Hopefully this thread picks back up!
