Title: Weeding out spamming
Post by: Richard _001 on February 19, 2010, 10:26:17 AM
From time to time there's been a splurge of spamming on these pages, enticements to buy all sorts of unrelated things or get embroiled in some sordid distraction from guerrilla gardening. Despit the security these pernicious pests do sometimes get through.

So... to tidy things up I've had the help of buddliabill7 and Niloufer to take a look through the boards and the enlisted to weed out the trouble makers. Some people have been deleted, some have been e-mailed to check their authenticity. But like gardening, sometimes you can be over enthusiastic with the weeding and pull out a spectacular young seedling... so if you've been pulled out and feel it's unfair, firstly sorry, and secondly, do sign up again!

Thanks

I just got an email saying my account here was spamming. Thought that was spam too, so I had to check it out. The email I received is legit?

Thanks,
Dazee
